I was looking at that "United States of Canada / Jesusland" cartoon the other day, and thought about what it would be like to split up the continent that way.

(BTW, let's change those names a bit. I'm sure Jesus wants nothing to do with the "red" states)

Great Canada would be a great power in the world, economically and militarily. And without Bush, it would have a chance at prosperity and peace.

The Neo-Confederacy would be a Third World country, exporting oil (until it ran out) and food (until the agricorps were no longer able to maintain those formerly subsidized irrigation projects).

Let them pollute their water table, destroy their forests and screw over their workers for a few years, and when it all goes (ahem) south, we can move back in and do a little nation-building.
